This site of 13 hectares is owned by Burgess Hill Town Council.
Batchelors Farm lies to the south-east of Burgess Hill on the east of the railway. The water tower is a prominent landmark on the site. It is connected by a footbridge across the railway to Nightingale Lane Meadows. Comprising meadows, hedgerows and a stream, it offers fine views of the South Downs and the Jack and Jill Windmills on Clayton Hill.
A small fenced area in the south-west corner contains some fruit trees and a wildflower meadow planted by Burgess Hill Academy pupils, helped by FoBHGCN.
