“Meet the Wild Things”

“Meet the Wild Things” is a series of free, wildlife-themed events for children during school holidays, weather permitting. They are on display at the Help Centre in Burgess Hill, where places should be booked in advance, as well as on Town Council noticeboards around the town. All events are from 2 pm – 4 pm, unless otherwise stated, meeting in the car park by the football pitches off Maple Drive.

Wednesday 2nd. August        Meadow sweeping and bug hunt. SORRY – HAD TO CANCEL THIS ONE DUE TO RAIN ALL AFTERNOON. Hope the remaining days will be dry and sunny!

A two-part event: Humane small mammal trapping.

Tuesday 29th. August***3pm – 5 pm

Baiting and setting Longworth traps.

Wednesday 30th. August      Opening traps, releasing animals.

Wednesday 27th. October   Bat walk (To be confirmed, with time.)
