“Meet the Wild Things”

“Meet the Wild Things” is a series of free, wildlife-themed events for children during school holidays, weather permitting. They are on display at the Help Centre in Burgess Hill, where places should be booked in advance, as well as on Town Council noticeboards around the town. All events are from 2 pm – 4 pm, unless otherwise stated, meeting in the car park by the football pitches off Maple Drive.

Thursday 8th. August            Meadow sweeping and bug hunt. 

Thursday 15th. August         Meadow sweeping and bug hunt.

Thursday 22nd. August        Meadow sweeping and bug hunt.

Thursday 29th. August         Meadow sweeping and bug hunt.

A two-part event: Humane small mammal trapping.

Monday 29th. October***2pm – 4 pm

Baiting and setting Longworth traps.

Tuesday 30th. October***10am – 12 noon

Opening traps, releasing animals.
