“Nightingales, Night Owls and Bats”

Led by Ian Woolsey and Dominic Moore. Starting with a walk to the Mill Pond to watch for bats, we then proceed to the railway bridge over Streat Lane in search of nightingales. There are usually several singing here after dark.

Meet in car park by the football pitches off Maple Drive at 7.30. Anyone uncertain of the Streat Lane location can follow those who know the area.

“Urban Foxes and Badgers”

A talk by Dr. Dawn Scott from University of Brighton, describing an illustrated study made over several years, as featured in “Springwatch” with Chris Packham.

Doors open from 7.15 pm. Admission: Members £2, Visitors £3, under 16s free. Raffle and refreshments.
